Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Sevak, a service of The ANB Group ("we", "us"), helps organizations run volunteer events. This policy explains how we handle information. Two commitments come first:
- We never sell your data. We don't sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, and we don't use it for advertising.
- Data belongs to the host organization. Information collected through an organization's events, such as sign-ups, rosters, attendance, hours and messages, belongs to that organization. Sevak stores and processes it only to provide the service to them.
1. This website today
Sevak isn't live yet. This website doesn't ask for personal information and doesn't use cookies or tracking. Like any website, the service that hosts it may keep basic technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep it running securely.
2. What we'll collect when Sevak launches
- Volunteers: your name, email, phone number, an optional address, any affiliations you add (such as a school or Scout troop), your usual availability, the shifts you sign up for, attendance and hours, and any answers to an event's sign-up questions.
- Children: Sevak isn't designed for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. We plan to add support for families with younger volunteers in a future release.
- Host organizations: organization details, team members' names and email addresses, and the information used to verify the organization.
3. How data is used
We use data only to run Sevak. That means managing sign-ups, sending confirmations, updates and certificates, keeping the service secure, and fixing problems. The host organization decides how it uses the data for its own events.
4. Who can see your data
- The host organization sees the details of people who sign up for its events, and only for its own events.
- Your "My volunteering" log is private to you.
- Private events are never shown publicly. Public event pages show how many spots are left, never who signed up.
- We use a small number of service providers, such as email delivery and hosting, to run Sevak. They may only use data to provide their service to us.
5. Your choices
You can see your sign-ups and certificates at any time. To correct or delete information an organization holds about you, contact that organization. We'll help them act on your request. You can ask us to delete your Sevak login at any time. Records that belong to an organization, such as attendance and issued certificates, stay with that organization.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the people who need it.
7. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy before Sevak launches, and whenever our practices change. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
8. Contact
If you have questions about privacy, use the contact details we publish on this site.
